Places to Be…

Places to be - a Butterfly waiting to find its next flower and destination.

If your summer travel plans are in a bit of flux, there’s no need to fret. One of the best kept vacation secrets if you love nature, hikes, waterfalls, gardens and eventful treats can often be found within a close radius (with few lines, minimal traffic, and zero waiting). That’s a big plus in our book. One requirement - plan beyond the typical summer vacation by perusing the state and national park system. These natural wonders offer so much at so little. Sometimes less than that expensive cup of coffee and the scenery, well, it’s hands-down awe-inspiring. And if you need more options, one of our favorites is the Trustees of Reservations’ many locations.  These hidden jewels are a welcoming summer treat.

Keep your eyes peeled for the many parks, gardens and welcoming places like the Trustees of Reservations’ sites. Outdoors in the summertime is the place to be but too often these best kept secrets get overlooked. Unplug and wander through these special places that await new and repeat feet.
