Not too many creative words this Monday morning about design, gardens or anything green. It’s foggy and drizzly, at least in this neck of the woods. It’s one of those days where taking a huge creative stretch is needed but this morning, things are creaky. So I’m making it a share day instead.
Do you need a repeated perspective on what can brighten up your Monday? Here’s one of those articles that points out ten simple things that can make you happier by Buffer, another social media tool to make life easy but it’s just one more techno bit I need to know about. Ugh!
Of course, number 5 is a given when you enjoy gardening, the landscape and nature every day. And number 7, we know this one helps but the important thing is that it can alleviate pain. That’s why I am sharing a silly video that I hope makes you laugh out loud today. Even if you aren’t a dog lover, it’s what dog lovers know their dogs must be thinking. Plus, I am a bit surprised that owning a pet didn’t make the top ten on this list. Especially since our domesticated furry friends make it nearly impossible not to get outside and stretch each day.
Growing a garden should be put in there as well. Even in the fog, there’s always something of interest. This Monday morning stretch shows us what’s still vibrant and colorful. And if you need more than this to boost your Monday, Steve Maraboli reminds us, “Don't give up! It's not over. The universe is balanced. Every set-back bears with it the seeds of a come-back.” Speaking of seeds, do you still need one last tip? Take Number 8 and switch out 'vacation' to planning a garden instead. Simply planning it can lift your spirits and if you do decide to move forward with a design, it lasts longer than a trip.
